Heartburn is a film that’s an adaptation of the novel with the same name, written by Nora Ephron back in 1983. Rachel Samstag and Mark Foreman are the main characters in the film, and the plot starts when the political columnist is caught having an affair.

According to the writer of the novel, Nora Ephron, one day she was writing something completely different in her office, and then she suddenly started writing about her marriage and how it ended. This is how the novel was made, and then adapted into a movie which achieved quite the success post-release.

  1. Crazy Stupid Love – 2011

A newer film, at least compared to the other ones on the list, and this one will help you get through the tough period that you are experiencing right now. You’ll laugh, maybe cry as well, but then laugh some more. Why? Because Steve Carell and Ryan Gosling are here to take care of your emotions.

We’re not going to reveal too much of the plot, but the action starts when Cal is being told by his wife that she wants a divorce and she wants it done quickly. There are quite a few twists in this film, and it’s a great journey that will keep you at the edge of your seat, so make sure to give it a chance on your next movie night.

Are you a fan of Sandra Bullock? If the answer is yes, this movie will have an even better effect on you. Sandra plays the role of a wife who discovers that her husband is cheating on her, and she sees this on live television. It might not be the easiest film to watch if you recently went through something like this, but it will help you understand some more about the emotions that a person feels when they face a situation of this kind.

The plot is about a woman who recently divorced and she feels like she’s way into her comfort zone to achieve the things she wants in life. After you face a situation like this in your life, you need to be “reborn”, and that can only be done by stepping out of the comfort zone and doing the required actions that will improve your life.
