This is not a pure sci-fi, you won’t see any robots, aliens and similar, this is more of a thriller in combination with mystery. The premiere was at the Austin Fantastic Fest on September 19, 2013, but it was 2014 when it was released in more theaters and other countries.

According to IMDB, the budget of this movie was at about $50,000, there is no official confirmation on this. Many agreed that it is a remarkable movie and knowing the budget, it certainly surprised people.

Here is the plot: “On the night of an astronomical anomaly, eight friends at a dinner party experience a troubling chain of reality bending events. Part cerebral sci-fi and part relationship drama, COHERENCE is a tightly focused, intimately shot film whose tension intensely ratchets up as its numerous complex mysteries unfold.”

Looking at the cast we can agree that there isn’t many all that famous names, but that still didn’t prevent them from producing a high-quality movie. The main character, that is almost constantly followed, is Emily who is played by Emily Baldoni. Alongside Emily, we have Maury Sterling as Kevin, Nicholas Brendon as Mike, Lorene Scafaria as Lee, Elizabeth Gracen as Beth, Hugo Armstrong as Hugh, Alex Manugian as Amir and Lauren Maher as Laurie.
