Due Date for Jamie Foxx
Jamie Foxx has joined the cast of Due Date starring Robert Downey Jr., Zach Galifianakis and Michelle Monaghan.
The road-trip comedy stars Downey Jr. as a high-strung father-to-be who is forced to hitch a ride with a college slacker (Galifianakis) to make it to the birth on time. Foxx will play Downey’s longtime pal who once dated his wife (Monaghan) and secretly keeps in touch with her. Todd Phillips (The Hangover) will direct for Warner Bros.
Foxx next stars opposite Gerard in Law Abiding Citizen.
Downey Jr. In Due Date

Robert Downey Jr. will star alongside Zach Galifianakis in the comedy Due Date, which will begin production this September. Downey Jr. and Galifianakis will play mismatched partners racing to get home from a road trip for the birth of Downey Jr.’s first child. Todd Phillips, the man behind such films as Old School, Starsky & Hutch and The Hangover, will direct – two out of three ain’t bad. Phillips describes the movie as “a buddy comedy without the buddies”. Sounds like it could be a good one. We all know Downey Jr.’s resume but Galifianakis, who was a star in this summer’s hit The Hangover, is a very worthy sidekick. Galifianakis and Phillips will team up once again for The Hangover 2 once Due Date is completed.

Movie Review: The Hangover

The Hangover is a movie about the dream bachelor party of almost any 20-30 something-year-old that I know. A few buddies go to Vegas and wake up the next morning with the groom missing, one of the groomsmen married to a stripper, Mike Tyson’s tiger in the bathroom and a stolen cop car waiting at the valet. The best part is they have absolutely no memory of what happened. What more could you ask for? That’s pretty much the story of “The Hangover”. It’s an absolutely hilarious movie and one that I strongly recommend. Read more
