The Box Movie Review

In The Box, Cameron Diaz stars as Norma and James Marsden is her husband Arthur. As the movie begins, we are told it is 1976, it is 5:44AM in Virginia and Norma and Arthur are sound asleep in their comfortable suburban home. A minute later the doorbell rings and Norma answers the door to find a box sitting on her step – THE box. In the box is another box with a glass case that has a red button inside of it. A key is needed to access the button. A note in the box indicates that Mr. Steward will be contacting them in 11 hours with more information. Read more
New Poster for The Box
Richard Kelly has taken to Twitter to debut the final poster for his upcoming movie The Box starring Cameron Diaz, James Marsden and Frank Langella. Nothing to get too excited about though, considering this poster is only slightly different from the one released a few months back. Is Cameron Diaz’s giant head really the best they could do? I think that probably hurts the movie more than it helps.
In the movie, Diaz and Marsden play a couple who receive a wooden box that promises to deliver its owner $1 million with the press of a button. However, pressing this button will simultaneously cause the death of another human being somewhere in the world.
The Box opens October 30th.
Movie Trailer: The Box
The movie trailer for Richard Kelly’s The Box is now online at Moviefone. The movie stars Cameron Diaz and James Marsden as a couple who receive a mysterious package which promises $1 million if they simply press a button. The twist is that pressing the button will cause somebody somewhere in the world to die. I’d do it — but then again I’m broke. I’d do pretty much anything for cash. Hell, I’d probably settle for $10 at this point. Check out the video below or visit Moviefone to watch in HD.

The Box Movie Poster

The movie poster for The Box is online. The movie, directed by Richard Kelly, stars Cameron Diaz and James Marsden as a couple who receive an anonymous gift – a simple wooden box that promises to deliver its owner $1 million with the press of a button. However, pressing this button will simultaneously cause the death of another human being somewhere in the world…
Sounds like an interesting concept, but whether the movie can pull it off is another question. Cameron Diaz hasn’t been in a good movie forever. (Shrek doesn’t count since it’s her voice only.) James Marsden is a little too generic for my liking. And Richard Kelly made Donnie Darko — in 2001. What has he done for me lately? Southland Tales didn’t exactly deliver the goods.
Anyhoo, I’ll hold out judgement for now. I’m guessing with the poster and official site online, we’ll be seeing the trailer sometime very soon. Until then, continue reading to check out the poster. Read more
