Bay Killing Off Fox In TF3?

Megan Fox It seems like Michael Bay might get the last laugh in the war of words that has been going on between him and Megan Fox for the last several months. In Touch Weekly is reporting that Bay is considering killing off Fox’s character within the first few minutes of Transformers 3 so he can replace her with another beautiful young actress.

According to the “insider” that contacted the magazine, “Michael’s pretty much discovered Megan and now he’s very quietly looking for her replacement. He hasn’t decided if he’s going to kill her off in the next movie but he just wants to be prepared.”

Of course, last week, Bay announced on his website that he is targetting July 1, 2011 as the release date for Transformers 3. He also playfully added this message for the TF1 & 2 starlett:

Megan Fox, welcome back. I promise no alien robots will harm you in any way during the production of this motion picture. Please consult your Physician when working under my direction because some side effects can occur, such as mild dizziness, intense nausea, suicidal tendencies, depression, minor chest hair growth, random internal hemorrhaging and inability to sleep. As some directors may be hazardous to your health, please consult your Doctor to determine if this is right for you.

The latest rumour regarding Tranformers 3 comes on the heels of the summer of “Bay vs. Fox” which included:

- Fox saying Bay concentrated too much on special effects and not enough on acting in TF2.

- Bay said of Fox, “she still has a lot of growing to do. You roll your eyes when you see statements like that.”

- Fox claimed that Bay made her audition for Transformers by dressing up in a bikini and washing his Ferrari. Nice!

- Fox said Bay is like “Hitler on his sets“, “he’s a nightmare to work for“, “has no social skills at all” and “on set he’s a tyrant“.

- a lengthy letter written by some crew members from Transformers 2 made its way to the internet. The letter called Fox “about ungracious a person as you can every fathom” and said she “is a thankless, classless, graceless and shall we say unfriendly bitch.” Ouch.

In any case, I don’t see Fox getting killed off in Transformers 3. Maybe Transformers 4 but I’m going to say she will make it to the end of three and maybe Shia’s character will dump her before the next movie starts filming.

I do caution her, however, to start being very careful with what she says about Michael Bay and how she treats the crew on the set of TF3. Judging from the Jennifer’s Body box office, it looks like Ms. Fox might be getting too big for her britches. I would assume that the movie was expected to make much more than a $16 million worldwide box office by this point. Makes you wonder whether her name is strong enough to carry a movie. Mind you, I saw Jennifer’s Body and I actually thought it was fairly decent. It probably should have done a lot better than $16 million.

Nevertheless, I expect to see Megan make it from beginning to end in TF3. I would say that maybe she will have less lines than TF2 but I don’t think that’s possible. I would be surprised if she said 50 words the entire movie!

Michael BayParamount Pictures has signed a first-look producing deal with Platinum Dunes, run by Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form.

One of the first projects expected as part of the deal is The Butcherhouse Chronicles. The thriller, written by Stephen Susco, is described as The Breakfast Club in a haunted house. Also part of the deal is the thriller Property of the State written by Howard Franklin. The story follows a young white-collar criminal whose attempts to straighten out his life are imperiled by an obsessive and menacing parole officer.

The announcement comes a week after Bay announced he’d be reteaming with Paramount on another Transformers movie. He most recently directed Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen which currently ranks as the highest grossing movie of 2009.

Platinum Dunes most recently produced the remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street which is due for release in April next year.

Michael Bay Announces Transformers 3

With Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen reigning as the year’s top grossing movie, you knew it would only be a matter of time before people would start talking about another addition to the lucrative franchise. Well, Michael Bay has taken to the internets to announce that we can expect more robots in disguise July 1, 2011. In a post on the forums at his official site, here’s what Bay had to say:

Well its official: We have a great Transformers 3 story. The release date is now July 1st 2011. Not 2012.

Today is Day One. This morning started with an ILM meeting for five hours in San Francisco. Currently I’m flying with writer Ehren Kruger to Rhode Island to talk to Hasbro about new characters.

Pain and Gain is right after shooting of Trans 3.

Michael

I’m not quite sure about the whole Megan Fox quote. I know there’s something going on there, but I’m still trying to figure out if he’s being serious or if it’s all a big inside joke. Either way, it seems a little immature to me. But who am I to say. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen will be available on Blu-ray and DVD on October 20th.

Megan Fox Keeps Trashing Michael Bay

Megan Fox

Over the last several months, Megan Fox and Michael Bay have been trading jibes in the media. Fox said Bay concentrated too much on special effects and not enough on acting in Transformers 2. Bay responded by saying, “she still has a lot of growing to do. You roll your eyes when you see statements like that.” Fox then said that Bay made her audition for Tranformers by wearing a bikini and washing his Ferrari.

It seems like Megan just won’t shut up about Michael Bay. In the latest issue of Wonderland Magazine, Fox was back at it again. When asked about the famous producer/director, this is what she had to say:

I really wish I could go loose on this one. He’s like Napoleon and he wants to create this insane, infamous mad-man reputation. He wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is. So he’s a nightmare to work for but when you get him away from set, and he’s not in director mode, I kind of really enjoy his personality because he’s so awkward, so hopelessly awkward. He has no social skills at all. And it’s endearing to watch him. He’s vulnerable and fragile in real life and then on set he’s a tyrant.

Ummm, that’s not going loose? Comparing Michael Bay to Hitler? That’s just plain sadistic.

At least Fox had the fortitude to admit this as well:

I definitely have some kind of mental problem and I haven’t pinpointed what it is.

She can next be seen in Jennifer’s Body, which will be in theatres on September 18th.

Should be interesting to see if Fox makes it into Tranformers 3 or if her character mysteriously gets killed off between movies.

Bad Boys 3 Moving Forward

Bad Boys The Hollywood Reporter has announced that Peter Craig has been hired to write the screenplay for Bad Boys 3. This despite the fact that the main players from the first two movies, including director Michael Bay, producer Jerry Bruckheimer and stars Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, have yet to commit to returning for a third installment. All the parties have expressed some interest in the past in returning but not surprisingly, the one big issue could be money.

The Bad Boys movies starred Smith as Mike Lowrey and Lawrence as Marcus Burnett, two Miami narcotics detectives who found themselves busting up some kind of major conspiracy and thwarting some kind of major drug trade.

1995’s Bad Boys grossed $66 million domestically and $141 million worldwide. The sequel in 2003 grossed $138 million domestically and $273 million worldwide. If some of this money was banked, there should be no problem getting everyone to sign the dotted line for the third movie.

Bad Boys 3 will be Craig’s first major Hollywood screenplay.

How’s this for creepy – the NY Post is reporting that when Megan Fox went to Michael Bay’s house to audition for Tranformers, he got her to wash his Ferrari as part of the audition. And he filmed her doing it! Maybe that’s status quo in Hollywood but can you imagine – someone comes for a job interview and you tape them washing your car? I think you’re only allowed to get away with that at Hooters! I’m sure she wasn’t wearing much more than what she has on in the above picture! When asked what happened to the video, Bay said, ‘Er, I don’t know where it is”. Riiiight. Sure Michael, you don’t know where it is. The dvd is probably so worn out it’s turning to dust!

Despite his threat to go “shoot an art movie in a winery in the South of France”, it looks like director/producer Michael Bay will be involved in another big-budget movie sooner than we think. HollywoodReporter.com is reporting that Bay and Dreamworks have once again teamed up to buy the film right for the science-fiction book, I Am Number Four. According to the website, the “Four” story line involves nine alien teens assimilating to high school on Earth after their planet is destroyed by an enemy species. The fourth of the group discovers that the enemy is now after him on Earth (can someone say Roswell?). The book is the first of a six-volume series, written by co-authored by James Frey. You might remember Frey as the author who appeared on Oprah and lied about his previous drug abuse and criminal past in order to push sales of his book A Million Little Pieces. Nevertheless, Bay, Dreamworks and Steven Spielberg once again get together to bring Frey’s I Am Number Four to the big screen, with Bay possibly directing.

New Transformers Poster/TV Spots

A new poster online today for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen from Empire. I have to admit that I’m getting pretty excited about this movie — which is exactly 3 weeks away from release today.

We’ve also got links to a few new TV spots — which I’m trying my best to avoid because I’d like to go into the movie as fresh as possible. But, that shouldn’t stop you. Continue reading to check it all out. Read more
