New Poster for Where the Wild Things Are
MSN has debuted a new movie poster for Where the Wild Things Are. The movie, based on the children’s book by Maurice Sendak and directed by Spike Jonze, stars Max Records as a young boy named Max who, after being sent to bed for misbehaving, imagines that he sails away to where the wild things are. Max is loved by the wild creatures who make him their King, though he soon longs to be back home with his family. Also starring are Catherine Keener, Mark Ruffalo, Lauren Ambrose, Chris Cooper, James Gandolfini, Catherine O’Hara and Forest Whitaker.
Based on everything we’ve seen so far (and this poster is no exception), it looks like THE movie to see in the next couple of months. The only thing that worries me is the heightened expecations. Can the movie live up to it? I certainly hope so.
