Marmaduke Movie Trailer
Yahoo! Movies has the teaser for Marmaduke. The movie features the vocal stylings of Owen Wilson as Marmaduke — even though (as far as I can recall) Marmaduke never had a voice in the comics. Garfield, sure. But Marmaduke? No. Check out the video below.
Synopsis: For Phil and Debbie Winslow, moving their family from Kansas to the O.C. is a big deal. For their enormous Great Dane “Marmaduke,” however, the move means a whole new way of life. It’s chaos at home and awkward at work as the Winslows struggle to control their angsty teenage canine.
Marmaduke is scheduled to open in theaters June 4, 2010.
Owen Wilson Voicing Marmaduke
Owen Wilson will voice Marmaduke in Fox’s upcoming movie based on the long-running comic strip.
The movie, which will mix live-action and computer-animation, will follow a family named the Winslows who move from Kansas to Orange County with their Great Dane Marmaduke, who creates chaos wherever he goes. Judy Greer, Lee Pace and William H. Macy will play the humans while voices will be provided by the likes of Fergie, Emma Stone, George Lopez, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Steve Coogan, Damon Wayans and Marlon Wayans. Tom Dey will direct the movie which is scheduled to hit theaters June 2010.
Wilson last starred in the similarly dog-themed Marley and Me — also for Fox. He’s back in theaters later this month providing voice work in Fantastic Mr. Fox.
