Julia Roberts Producing Jesus Henry Christ
Julia Roberts will produce Jesus Henry Christ based on a Student Academy Award-winning short film.
The indie comedy revolves around a boy conceived in a petri-dish and raised by a loving, left-wing feminist. At the age of 10, he decides his mother’s love is not enough and begins to follow a trail of Post-It notes stuck around town hoping it will lead him to his biological father. Dennis Lee, who wrote and directed the 2003 short film, will do the same for the feature-length version.
Roberts appears this summer in Lee’s Fireflies in the Garden. The movie also stars Ryan Reynolds, Willem Dafoe, Emily Watson, Carrie-Anne Moss and Hayden Panettiere. Roberts will be in theaters later this month in Duplicity with Clive Owen.
