New Alice in Wonderland Poster
Facebook has the 3rd new poster for Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland featuring Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter. (As opposed to the previous poster where he could just barely be seen sitting in the background.) You might also notice that this is the 2nd poster (of 7 released so far) featuring Depp’s Hatter and also the 2nd to feature credits from the film. Must be something about a guy in a kooky hat that requires credits.

Alice in Wonderland opens March 5, 2010.
Another Alice In Wonderland Poster
Earlier in the week, we posted a picture of a new Alice In Wonderland poster that showed up on the internet. Tonight we have yet another poster that has premiered online. This poster features Alice herself (played by Mia Wasikowska), the White Rabbit and if you look way in the background, Johnny Depp’s Mad Hatter.
Alice In Wonderland will be in theatres on March 5, 2010.

Doctor Parnassus Poster
SlashFilm.com has premiered the North American poster for Terry Gilliam’s The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. I’m sure no one needs to be reminded but in case you’ve been living under a rock for the last year, this will sadly be the last movie for Heath Ledger. It has already opened at theatres throughout Europe and all reports are it is being very well-received overseas.
The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus will open in North American theatres on Christmas Day – that’s December 25th for the rock people.

New Alice In Wonderland Poster

Johnny Depp Is The Tourist
It seems The Tourist has made more changes to it’s cast and director in the last six months than I’ve changed my underwear. Variety.com is reporting that Johnny Depp is the man who will play an American tourist who is seduced by a Interpol agent who is trying to track down a criminal. Angelina Jolie will play the Interpol agent so the prospect of a Depp/Jolie combination is certainly intriguing, to say the least.
This change in casting comes on the heels of an announcement that Sam Worthington would be playing the lead role, replacing Tom Cruise. Jolie was also a replacement, as it was Charlize Theron who was the original female lead.
Apparently Worthington pulled out because of the reason we often hearfor these changes – “creative differences”.
That is also the reason that director Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck has left the project. I’m just happy he left so I don’t have to type that name anymore. von Donnersmarck replaced the first director, Bharat Nalluri. Variety is also reporting that Alfonso Cuaron is considering taking over the project.
The Tourist is scheduled to go into production in February.

Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

Walt Disney Studios has revealed the title and the logo for the next POTC movie – Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. Johnny Depp will return as Captain Jack Sparrow in the movie, which is set to be released during the summer of 2011.
The plan is for this movie to be the first of another trilogy in the series. As we reported last month, rumour has it that the movie will revolve around Sparrow and other villains searching for the Fountain of Youth.
Dr. Parnassus On Christmas Day

ComingSoon.net is reporting that Terry Gilliam’s The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus will be hitting theatres on December 25th. The movie will feature the final big screen performance by Heath Ledger. His character “Tony” was completed by Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell after his shocking death. The three actors gave all the money they received from the movie to Ledger’s daughter Matilda to help secure her future finances.
