Cyrus Movie Trailer
Fox Searchlight has released the trailer for Cyrus. The movie stars John C. Reilly as a down on his luck guy who falls for a beautiful woman (Marisa Tomei) only to find out that she has a son named Cyrus (Jonah Hill) who has it in for him. Catherine Keener also stars as Reilly’s ex. The movie, directed by the Duplass brothers, will be showing this weekend at the Sundance Film Festival. John C. Reilly Visits Cedar Rapids
John C. Reilly has joined the cast of Cedar Rapids for Fox Searchlight.
The road-trip comedy stars Ed Helms as a wholesome and naive small-town Wisconsin man who must represent his company at a regional insurance conference in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where his mind is blown by the big-town experience. Reilly will play another conference attendee, a family man who sees the event as a vacation and time to let loose. Miguel Arteta will direct.

Synopsis: The time is the too-near future. Powered and enabled by the invention known as the Great Machine, the world’s machines have turned on mankind and sparked social unrest, decimating the human population before being largely shut down.
But as our world fell to pieces, a mission began to salvage the legacy of civilization; a group of small creations was given the spark of life by a scientist in the final days of humanity, and they continue to exist post-apocalypse. Another of their own, #9 (voiced by Elijah Wood), emerges and displays leadership qualities that may help them survive and possibly even thrive.
With their group so few, these “stitchpunk” creations must summon individual strengths well beyond their own proportions in order to outwit and fight against still-functioning machines, one of which is a marauding mechanized beast. In the darkness just before the dawn, #9 rallies everyone of his number to band together.

Cinemablend has the first look at the trailer for The Vampire’s Assistant that stars a plethora of big names including John C. Reilly, Ken Watanabe, Willem Dafoe, Ray Stevenson, Orlando Jones and Salma Hayek. The movie is about a young boy named Darren (Chris Massoglia) who meets a mysterious man named Lartern Crepsely (John C. Reilly) who helps turn Darren into a vampire and join a travelling roadshow called Cirque Du Freak. From the trailer, it looks like it could be a fun movie.

Trio in Untitled Searchlight Comedy
John C. Reilly, Jonah Hill and Marisa Tomei are in negotiations to star in an untitled comedy for Fox Searchlight.
The story centers on a recently divorced man (Reilly) who meets the woman of his dreams (Tomei). She has a teenage son (Hill) who has no interest in sharing his mother with a new man. (Wasn’t that the plot of “Mama’s Boy” with Jon Heder and Diane Keaton?! And didn’t that movie tank?!)
Mark and Jay Duplass (Baghead) will direct from a script they wrote. Shooting begins in January.
