Brothers Poster
Cinematical has premiered the poster for Brothers, directed by Jim Sheridan and starring Natalie Portman, Jake Gyllenhaal and Tobey Maguire. The first trailer for the movie came out last week. You can check it out by clicking here. The movie is basically about a U.S. soldier in Afghanistan who goes missing and is presumed dead. Luckily enough he is eventually found alive but it doesn’t take him long to figure out that his brother was schtupping his wife while he was “dead”. It probably turns out that he isn’t too happy about it. The poster is kind of interesting. I wonder who you get mad at in this situation – the brother or the wife? He should probably be mad at the army personnel who declared him dead when he was still alive! Brothers will be in theatres on December 4th.

Brothers Trailer
A trailer for the Jim Sheridan-directed Brothers is now online. The movie stars Natalie Portman, Tobey Maguire and Jake Gyllenhaal. It’s about a soldier in Afghanistan who goes missing and is presumed dead. During the grieving process, the brother of the missing soldier hooks up with the wife of the missing soldier and when it turns out the missing soldier isn’t actually missing, things get ugly. As a sidenote, I was just checking out Jim Sheridan’s filmography – he has directed My Left Foot, In the Name of the Father and The Boxer and then he directed Get Rich or Die Tryin’. What the hell happened there??
Gyllenhaal/Hathaway in Love and Other Drugs
Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway are in negotiations to star in Love and Other Drugs based on the Jamie Reidy memoir “Hard Sell: The Evolution of a Viagra Salesman”.
Gyllenhaal will play the Reidy, who begins a relationship with a woman who has Parkinson’s disease (Hathaway) while on one of his sales calls. Their love story plays out in the political and social context of the time. Ed Zwick will direct.
Gyllenhaal and Hathaway previously starred together in Brokeback Mountain.
