The Original Murdock To Cameo In The A-Team

The Official Dwight Schultz Fansite is reporting that Dwight Schultz, the man who played the original Murdock character in the 1980’s hit tv show The A-Team, will make a cameo appearance in the move adaptation that is currently filming in Vancouver. Here is what the website had to say:
We have received many questions if Dwight will have a cameo part in the A-team movie. We are pleased to inform you all that Dwight has actually already been working in Vancouver, where he has played a cameo role in The A-Team movie. Sharlto Copely, the South African actor who plays Murdock, is according to Dwight: ‘brilliant beyond words’. Dwight has seen his screen test and he stated: that honestly, if Sharlto is given an opportunity to do what I saw in that test, “Murdock” will be better than ever!’ Sharlto has been very kind to him on the set and Dwight must say that he has been treated very well.
Makes me wonder if we will see Mr. T cameo as well.
Along with Sharlto Copely, The A-Team will also star Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Quinton Jackson and Jessica Biel. I hope ‘Rampage’ Jackson’s acting is better than his coaching on The Ultimate Fighter.
The A-Team will be in theatres on June 11, 2010.
Check Out The A-Team
/Film has what looks like the first official photo of The A-Team, featuring Bradley Cooper as Templeton ‘Faceman’ Peck, Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson as B.A. Baracus, Sharlto Copley as ‘Howling Mad’ Murdock and Liam Neeson as John ‘Hannibal’ Smith. And, it isn’t much, but you can also glimpse the famed A-Team van in the background. Check out the photo below or head over the /Film for a higher quality look.
The A-Team is currently in production for a planned June 11, 2010 release.
New A-Team Featurette
Entertainment Tonight has a little featurette from the set of The A-Team. We get to see a bit of Quinton “Rampage” Jackson as B.A. Baracus, Bradley Cooper as “Faceman” and Jessica Biel.
I don’t know if anyone is watching The Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights this year but is it just me or is Rampage Jackson a complete douchebag? The guy shouldn’t even be coaching those fighters. It’s horrible. I can tell you one thing I have learned from that show – I have agreed with almost everything that Coach Rashad Evans has said and almost nothing that Rampage has said.
Anyways…..
The A-Team is currently filming in and around Vancouver, B.C. and will be in theatres on June 11, 2010.
Check out Entertainment Tonight’s featurette below.
Rampage Jackson With B.A. Baracus Mowhawk
Last week we posted the first pictures that popped up online of the main cast of The A-Team. The picture of Quinton Jackson as B.A. Baracus had him sporting a toque so we didn’t get to see the famous mohwawk. Today we bring you the mowhawk. Urdirt.com was able to grab this picture that shows Rampage with the B.A. hairdo.
For a movie in which I had very little faith three months ago, it’s really is looking half decent. It doesn’t hurt that Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper and Sharlto Copely are involved. I hope director Joe Carnahan can pull it all together to pay proper homage to the tv series.
The A-Team will be in theatres on June 11, 2010.
More A-Team Pics
The website What Would Tyler Durden Do? has posted a tonne of pictures from the set of The A-Team, which is currently filming in and around Vancouver. The pictures include Liam Neeson as ‘Hannibal’, Bradley Cooper as ‘Faceman’, Sharlto Copely as ‘Murdoch’ and Quinton Jackson as ‘B.A. Baracus’. You can click HERE to check out all the pictures and also see a small sampling below.

Is Sharlto Copley Joining The A-Team?
According to blackfilm.com, actor Sharlto Copley has been offered the role of H.M. “Howling Mad” Murdock in the upcoming movie version of The A-Team. In the TV series, the role of Murdock was played by Dwight Schultz. The character, often times found living in a mental institution, was the team’s pilot.
The remaining cast of The A-Team includes Liam Neeson and Col. John “Hannibal” Smith, Bradley Cooper as Lt. Templeton “Faceman” Peck and UFC fighter Quinton “Rampage” Jackson as B.A. Baracus. The roles were played on the television series by George Peppard, Dirk Benedict and Mr. T, respectively.
Copley has garnered attention this summer for his starring role in District 9. The movie, produced on a budget of only $30 million, surpassed the $100 million box office mark this past weekend.
Rampage Jackson Is B.A. Baracus
It was first a role rumoured to be given to Ice Cube. Then rappers Common and The Game were said to be playing it. Rampage Jackson accepted the part. Then he didn’t. Then he did. Then he didn’t again.
It appears that former UFC world lightweight champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson is once again the man who will star as B.A. Baracus in the upcoming movie version of the hit 80’s tv series The A-Team.
The Vancouver Sun is reporting that Jackson has been deleted from the UFC 107 card where he was supposed to be fighting Rashad Evans. Jackson has been spotted in an around Vancouver where he is preparing to shoot the movie for the next six weeks.
The move by Jackson has left a bitter taste in the mouth of UFC President Dana White. This is what White had to say about Jackson shooting the movie:
Guess what Rashad Evans is thinking about right now. He’s thinking about beating your f**king ass. He’s not sitting around thinking about how him and his mom used to watch the f**king Love Boat together and he wants to get the role of Isaac the bartender.
Bwhahahaha.
The A-Team is scheduled to hit theatres on June 11, 2010. Bradley Cooper will star as Lt. Templeton “Faceman” Peck and Liam Neeson is set to play Col. John “Hannibal” Smith.
