When 7th grader Max Keeble is labeled a "dorky nerd" on his
first day of school and then learns his dad has taken a job and will
move the family to Chicago, the 12-year-old is inspired to tell off the
school bully and do other things he wouldn't have dreamed of doing if he
had to suffer the consequences. But when his father's new job falls
through, the boy must face the music when he finds himself back among
his old classmates.
