Larry Clark's Wassup Rockers is about a group of South Central Los Angeles Hispanic teenagers who do not conform to the hip-hop culture of their neighborhood. Instead they form their identity by riding skateboards, wearing tight pants and listening to punk rock music.
The "Rockers" journey begins when they decide to travel to and skate the world famous Beverly Hills High School stairs. The plan immediately goes awry when the Rockers are hassled by the Beverly Hills Police. Running from the cops, the Rockers become lost in the middle of Beverly Hills. They can only imagine what happens behind the limestone gates of some of the worlds most affluent and eccentric people.
All the Rockers want to do is go home to South Central where they are safe, but in the process the Rockers will embark upon a life changing escapade where they will see things and face situations that they never could have imagined.
