The Movie The Extras Reviewed by
7.5/10 7.5/10 Liam

Either this movie is going to make you laugh your ass off or you'll turn it off after the first few minutes. It's either really funny or really offensive. Having worked in the service industry, I found this movie to be absolutely hilarious. Okay, I've never sprinkled somebody's food with dandruff, but I can totally appreciate it. It's the cardinal rule... Never mess with people who handle your food.

Waiting follows the night in the lives of a group of waiters and waitresses (featuring an ensemble cast including Ryan Reynolds, Justin Long and Anna Faris) as they deal with the good, the bad and the downright nasty at a restaurant called ShenaniganZ, where rude customers get their food wiped on a set of sweaty balls and customers who come in just before close get their food "accidentally" dropped on the floor. And if you think the customers have it bad, there's also a rookie waiter who's getting trained on the finer points of working at ShenaniganZ, including a fun little game that really has to be seen to be appreciated. Yeah, it's childish and immature but it's damn funny.

Special features on Disc One of this 2-Disc Deluxe Edition DVD include deleted scenes, outtakes, a "That Little Extra" making-of documentary, a soundtrack preview and some trailers for Van Wilder and The Avengers. Disc Two features include an in-depth making-of documentary called "The Works", a Telestrator commentary with writer/director Rob McKittrick and producer Jeff Balis, a "Sending It Back" featurette on real-life waiters and finally "Side Dishes" which consists of select scene video commentaries with some of the film's stars which were previously available in the "The Works" documentary.

Like I said, either you'll like this one or you'll want to send it back. If that's something that works for you, check out this movie.
