The Movie The Extras Reviewed by
7.5/10 7.5/10 Liam

The Aristocrats features interviews with some of the greatest comics of the last several years about what is apparently the world's dirtiest joke. It basically starts with a family going in to see a talent agent with an incredible act. The act consists of some of the most disgusting vile things you could possibly imagine involving shit, piss, cocks, tits, ass fucking, baby fucking, cock sucking and pretty much any and every disgusting thing you could possibly imagine. When the act is over, the agent asks "What do you call it?" to which the family answers "The Aristocrats". After reading that introduction, if you're still interested in seeing this movie please continue reading.

I knew about this movie. I had seen the odd clip here and there and knew exactly what I was getting into. Still, I was absolutely shocked and disgusted by some of the things I heard here. And I laughed through the whole thing. Sure, some jokes were funnier than others but as a whole, if you're not easily offended this movie will surely make you look twice. Just raunchy - and hilarious. Although, for all the all star comedians that were featured here, the two that made me laugh the hardest were the ventriloquist and the mime. Shooting somebody and fucking the bullet hole? That's pure genius!!

Special features on this DVD include a feature commentary with filmmakers Paul Provenza and Penn Jillette, "More from the Comedians" which includes extended looks at some of the jokes told in the movie, "The Aristocrats Do The Aristocrats" which is a compilation of some of the funniest bits from the comedians, "For Johnny Carson" where a couple of comedians talk about Carson, "Behind The Green Room Door" where some of the comedians tell other jokes and finally a feature showing some winning entries from a "Be An Aristocrat" contest.

The only advice I can offer here is to just know what you're getting into before you even begin. If you've made it past that step, you'll likely enjoy this DVD.
