In Cry Wolf, a group of college kids send out a mass email warning the student body about a mass murderer who is suspected of being on campus. However, they made up the killer as part of a sick, twisted little game. Things get out of control however, when people start dying for real. As tensions rise and the body count begins to rise, nobody knows for sure what's real and what's not. And nobody knows who's safe and who's the real killer.
Special features on this DVD include just under 15 minutes of deleted/extended scenes (with optional filmmaker commentary), an alternate scene (also with optional commentary), some auditioning tapes (again available with or without commentary), a behind-the-scenes featurette, a "Before They Cried Wolf" feature showcasing two of the filmmakers' previous short films and finally a feature commentary with the Jeff Wadlow (director/co-writer), Beau Bauman (producer/co-writer) and Seth Gordon (editor/associate producer).
Cry Wolf is your standard teen horror movie ala Scream and I Know What You I Did Last Summer. Not that Cry Wolf is as good as either of these two classics, but if you've seen one teen horror, you've seen them all. Still, for a low budget and an unknown cast the movie looks good and has a decent twist at the end that, unless you're really paying attention, you just might not see coming.
