The Movie The Extras Reviewed by

I still can't believe some people don't believe in Global Warming...

An Inconvenient Truth is a documentary following former vice president Al Gore as he does a little public speaking about the dangers of Global Warming. We learn about climate change, what causes it, and what we can expect if we don't do something about it. It's not pretty -- and it's not supposed to be. Instead, it's pretty scary. It's fact -- and that so many people are still denying it is even scarier. I'm not going to bother going over some of the facts this movie presents. If you care at all about our planet, you are going to see this DVD. And if you don't care about out planet, maybe seeing this DVD will make you change your mind.

Special features include a commentary with director Davis Guggenheim, a commentary with producers Laurie David, Lawrence Bender, Scott Z. Burns and Lesley Chilcott, an update on the environment with Al Gore since the film's release, a making-of featurette and a music video by Melissa Etheridge.

If I had one complaint about this movie, it'd be that the movie leaves you with some sort of hope that things can change -- while the "update" from Al Gore makes it seem like it's too late. Looking out my window as winter SHOULD be here -- and seeing little to no snow, I can't help but worry that we've passed the point of no return.
