Note to Hollywood casting directors:
Please, please bring us more Ralph Fiennes. We love him. We really do.
Ralph Fiennes is something of an "unknown quantity" in
Hollywood. Although he has appeared in some of the most prolific movies
of the last decade (Schindler's List, The English Patient), and has been
nominated for an Academy Award for his performances in the same movies,
he has been conspicuously absent from the Hollywood movie scene for the
past two years. What a shame.
This Fall seems to be the season that Ralph Fiennes is re-emerging in
Hollywood. And, if his performance in Red Dragon is any indication, we
are going to be seeing a lot more of the talented Mr. Fiennes.
I had the pleasure of sitting down with Ralph Fiennes in New York in conjunction
with the release of Red Dragon. And when I say a pleasure, I really mean
it.
