This movie had it's moments, and plenty
of them. The premise was perfect for what they wanted, a simple
vehicle to deliver the jokes. Many were put on screen, but it was the
physical comedy which reached laugh-out-loud status. Those highlights
made the film a worthwhile watch. The rest of it produced only a few
chuckles, especially sight gags which became overused. Plot was of
course inconsequential, but in the scramble towards the end it seemed
to draw the humor away. What was left felt just a tad longer than
anyone would want.
Several extras were found on the DVD including numerous deleted scenes
(without comments) grouped into fifteen categories, a decent
collection of behind-the-scenes segments and a music video. A
commentary from director Tom Brady was a decent listen, especially
when he ridiculously spoke of the film having more substance that it
actually did.
