This smaller film from a few years back has been well preserved with it's charm and it's comedy. What worked was how strongly the viewer can get caught up in the world surrounding the core plot. So much so that several continuity glitches practically go by unnoticed. Whether it be the charisma of the characters or how cajoling the laughs were, one just can't help but enjoy this movie from start to finish.

A few terrific bonus materials found here. These included, a quality "making of" documentary which ran 50 mins. long, a look at some commentary-less deleted scenes and outtakes, several stills of promotional material, a mock trailer for "Swingblade" and some cast and crew filmographies. There were also two commentary tracks. One with actor/writer/co-director Jon Favreau and actor Vince Vaughn was a fun listen, especially with the telestrator option on as the pair would point things out on the screen. The other track was also good, with director Doug Liman and editor Stephen Mirrlone conveying how they got things done from a film-making perspective.

With the extras revealing how autobiographical the nature of the plot was, I somehow admired the movie more for what it was.

The Movie: 9/10
The Extras: 10/10

Recommendation: One For The Library
