An exciting spy thriller, the likes of which I haven't seen in awhile. Alright, I concede that the story is a little exaggerated. That, unfortunately leads to plot holes and slight confusion at times. However, all this falls by the wayside as tension is maintained for the entire two hours. What happens next is all one really has time to think about. Modernly stylized and quickly narrated using lengthy but beautiful flashback scenes, this visually dazzling film just exudes action.

Plenty of extras here. A neat one has icons that pop up during the film. When selected, they lead to some wonderful behind-the-scenes material that correspond to that section of the movie. Normally, I'd be annoyed at having to watch the movie again, but here, they've thoughtfully cued up each icon chapter-wise. There are also five great deleted scenes that would have actually changed the plot a bit. Four extended scenes, on the other hand, don't add too much. Other extras include, a two minute interview with director Tony Scott on storyboarding, the movie's trailer (as well as one for The Bourne Identity), information on CIA acceptance, production notes, cast and crew info and a promo for the soundtrack. For commentaries, there are two - one from Scott and one from producers Marc Abraham and Douglas Wick. The latter was interesting but Scott's had even more great anecdotes. Both are well worth a listen.

Slick and entirely absorbing, you should enjoy it all if you can keep pace.

The Movie: 9/10
The Extras: 9/10

Recommendation: One For The Library
