This latest Jackie Chan buddy flick
provided exactly what fans expect and love - amusing hijinx tempered
with spot on reactions and great lines from the "other guy".
Action, as always, was plentiful and this time it was especially well
put together delivering several strong set pieces. The story too
played out well by putting our heros in a new environment from which
extra laughs were generated. A wider variety of characters was well
managed and added even more fun. Understandably, a knock here would be
that this sequal was just more of the same, but that would also be
exactly why fans will enjoy this one.
A few extras here including a short featurette on the choreography, a
brief action montage, and an amusing list of eleven deleted scenes. A
commentary from director David Dobkin was semi-informative and covered
the process as was one from writers Alfred Gough and Miles Millar.
While Jackie may be aging, his slapstick antics have not. Enjoy it for
what it is.
