Last summer's best flick was still as stunning as before despite it's somewhat straightforward plot. Told deftly in a palette washed of any warm colours, several slap-sticky moments lightened the mood ever so precisely. The action, which I suppose was the highlight, fit in nicely and though not the most exciting ever seen, was distinctive enough to be quite a treat. But what really shined here was the universe created to hold this chase film. The well conceived details shown to the audience easily cemented this film's grip on them cerebrally. It will almost seem a waste if no other movie will be filmed here.

This double DVD set had seemingly quite a few extras, but upon closer inspection, there wasn't really that much. Disc two contained many short and well presented featurettes collected into several different sections. Subjects included filming, conceptual designs, stunt work and integrating computer effects. Also found on this disc were three story board sequences, three trailers, many concept pictures, rather detailed cast and crew information, and some production notes. Disc one carried only the movie and unfortunately, no commentary track.

This masterpiece was quite the package, delivering in every intended regard.

The Movie: 10/10
The Extras: 7/10

Recommendation: One For The Library
