This gangster spoof from almost two
decades ago still worked on it's most simplest level, but that was it.
With mostly light chuckles generated from visual puns and verbal
manipulation, the humor at times felt overly broad. It wasn't biting
enough by my estimation. Also, some of the funniest jokes in the movie
seemed to be played just one too many times (of course, that may have
been the intention). In the end, I just grinned in amusement and never
once howled with delight.
Almost nothing in terms of supplements on this disc. Just trailers for
this and other Fox comedies out on DVD. Not even a commentary track.
A comedy I regarded as just "cute". I suspect it was funnier
in it's day.
