In it's most simplest form, this was
basically just a huge suspenseful chase flick. Thrown in were some
comedic one-liners, some cool high tech gadgetry and political
undertones. With a short setup to start, we got right into it as the
movie unfolded and never looked back. Sure, plot details may have
failed under scrutiny, but the story moved quickly enough so that you
never could think about it. And that was what made this movie work.
Nothing about the plot was really that clever, it just seemed that way
due to quick cuts and a fast pace. Gotta love it.
Not much in the way of bonus material. There were two short mediocre
featurettes, one focusing on the film makers, and one on the plot.
There were also four movie trailers, for this and other Jerry
Bruckheimer films.
A true "ride" movie. Just have fun with it.
