To enjoy this movie, one needs to
overlook the black and white-ness, the cruddy acting and lets face it,
the overall amateur feel of the thing. A lot to get past, I know.
Instead, focus on the brilliant, though crude, humor. This one was
hilarious the first time I saw it, but upon further viewing, the less
and less I liked it. Though true for most films, it applies especially
to this one, since it's dialogue is all it has going for it.
Extras here are just ok for this low-budget film. We got a few funny
deleted scenes as well as a surprising alternate ending. There was
also a music video, the theatrical trailer and some film
recommendations. The ensemble commentary track was a gem as it was
highly entertaining listening to these guys interact with one another.
Speaking with director Kevin Smith were most of his crew and a few of
the cast, the highlight of which is a very drunk Jason Mewes.
A must-see, especially to discover how it ties in with Smith's other
films.
