Thornton In "Bad News" Remake

Billy Bob Thornton will star in "The Bad News Bears", a remake of the 1976 film in which Walter Matthau played the coach of a Little League team of misfits that he turns into a winner.
The script for the Paramount project will be written by the Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, who were responsible for Thornton's recent hit, "Bad Santa", in which Thornton played a larcenous department store Santa.
Thornton is currently in theaters with Disney's box office bomb "The Alamo".
