Somewhere Trailer and Poster
Here’s the trailer and poster for Somewhere written and directed by Sofia Coppola. The movie stars Stephen Dorff as a a bad-boy actor who is forced to re-examine his life after receiving an unexpected visit from his 11-year-old daughter (Elle Fanning).
I wish I could say that I like the look of this movie, but something about it doesn’t work for me. Almost like it is trying too hard. I don’t know. The best movies are ones where you can sympathize (or empathize) with the central character. But here, we have a rich, spoiled actor who the trailer makes it look like you’re supposed to feel sorry for. Whatever. I apologize, but I don’t give a shit. It’s like asking me to feel sorry for Paris Hilton or Lindsay Lohan. Maybe I’m wrong, but this trailer isn’t really selling me. Continue reading for more.
