Rambo V Changes Again

RamboVI

Way back in August, we reported that a fifth Rambo film had been greenlit with the Vietnam Vet heading to the U.S.-Mexico border to fight drug lords and human traffickers.

A few days after this report, Sylvester Stallone himself came out and said that Rambo would not be fighting Mexicans but instead fighting some kind of raging creature that was the result of a U.S. Military experiment gone wrong. The movie was given a title (Rambo V: The Savage Hunt) and a poster (click HERE to see it).

Well, it looks like there’s been yet another change of heart and the story has changed again.

The website StalloneZone.com has received the following email from Sylvester Stallone:

To all the loyal SZoners out there,

I’m letting you know that Rambo has changed course and the story about hunting the man/beast will be done using another character in the lead. RAMBO himself will be heading over the border to a violent city where many young women have vanished .

There will be blood.

Best,
Sly Stallone

I wonder why the sudden change? Does this mean we’re going to be getting two movies out of Stallone – a fifth Rambo and movie with him fighting the beast?

I have to admit I am a bit relieved that we won’t have to see Rambo vs. the beast. That idea worried me. Just didn’t seem very Rambo-like to me.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated on any Rambo news as it comes to us.
