George Clooney in talks for The Descendants
George Clooney is in talks to star in The Descendants to be directed by Alexander Payne for Fox Searchlight.
The family dramedy centers on a wealthy landowner who takes his two daughters on a search for his wife’s lover in the hopes of keeping his family together. Nat Faxon and Jim Rash wrote the screenplay based on Kaui Hart Hemmings’ debut novel of the same name. Filming is scheduled to begin in February in Hawaii.
Clooney stars this weekend in The Men Who Stare at Goats and will also be in theaters in the coming weeks in Fantastic Mr. Fox and Up in the Air.
