Hardy/Theron Confirmed For Mad Max 4
The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron will be the two leads in the next Mad Max movie, Fury Road.
Rumours have been abound for years as to who would reprise the role of Max Rockatansky, with names like Mel Gibson, Sam Worthington and Jeremy Renner being thrown around but it looks like the task has been bestowed to the British-born Hardy. He most recently made waves for his role in the prison movie Bronson but he also played Handsome Bob in RockNRolla and he appeared in Black Hawk Down, Layer Cake and is currently filming Christopher Nolan’s Inception.
The franchise’s original writer/directer George Miller will also be the man behind this installment, which is scheduled to begin filming next year in Australia.
