Speaking with Access Hollywood, Bruce Campbell, who became famous playing the chainsaw-handed Ash in Sam Raimi’s Evil Dead movies, let it slip that he may have a bigger role in the next installment of the Spider-Man series, Spider-Man 4.

Campbell has already appeared in the previous three Spider-Man movies – as the ring announcer in Spider-Man, as an usher in Spider-Man 2 and as a maitre d’ in Spider-Man 3.

Campbell said he didn’t have any details on the character he will be playing but Spidey fans are predicting that he will play Mysterio, the master of illusions.

Spider-Man 4 movie is set to begin filming in January for a May 2011 release.

  2. i would like to see him get the bigger part but i dont think Mysterio is right for him Mysterio is more like the venom or kraven they dont make jokes if he becomes Mysterio writers might make some jokes up for him which would not fit the character at all.

is sam raimi being directo for spidey 4 or is it still unknown

i would like to see him play as carnage celtious cassadiy i see what he can do he kinda reminds me of carnage psychotic trys to be funny but carnage only laoughs at his own sick humor & he would look exaclty like celtious cassidy if he had red hair & cut off sideburns that would fit him or the hobgoblin the opssite to the green goblin i would perfer canrage though he looks like he may have alot of fun witiht that character myserio is to serious for him to play as
