Cooper, JT, Reynolds All Vying for Green Lantern
Yesterday we ran a story from AICN that Justin Timberlake was at a testing for the role of The Green Lantern (I actually mistakenly called it The Green Hornet). Well today comes word (from The Hollywood Reporter) that Mr. Timberlake is facing some stiff competition. It seems the field has been narrowed down to three finalists – JT, Bradley Cooper and Ryan Reynolds. Henry Cavill, Michael Fassbender and Jared Leto also read for the role – Jared Leto? Really? Seems to me that Bradley Cooper is a pretty hot commodity right now but Timberlake and Reynolds would also be great choices. I’m going to lean towards Cooper getting the part. I am sure the final decision will be made sooner than later. I’m not sure why I wrote previously that Jack Black was being considered. Let us know what your thoughts are on who should be The Green Lantern. The movie is scheduled to be in theatres in June 2011, so there’s still plenty of time to get things done!

I distinctly remember you guys posted an article saying that Chris Pine was in negotiations or whtever to be in The Green Lantern. I thought he would have been perfect based on the comic book pictures I’ve seen. Do you know if there’s any reason why he isn’t being considered now or that he stepped away from the project?
