The Box Movie Poster

The movie poster for The Box is online. The movie, directed by Richard Kelly, stars Cameron Diaz and James Marsden as a couple who receive an anonymous gift – a simple wooden box that promises to deliver its owner $1 million with the press of a button. However, pressing this button will simultaneously cause the death of another human being somewhere in the world…

Sounds like an interesting concept, but whether the movie can pull it off is another question. Cameron Diaz hasn’t been in a good movie forever. (Shrek doesn’t count since it’s her voice only.) James Marsden is a little too generic for my liking. And Richard Kelly made Donnie Darko — in 2001. What has he done for me lately? Southland Tales didn’t exactly deliver the goods.

Anyhoo, I’ll hold out judgement for now. I’m guessing with the poster and official site online, we’ll be seeing the trailer sometime very soon. Until then, continue reading to check out the poster.

  2. I saw this story done on The New Twilight Zone. I think it was a 30-minute segment, with commercials. Not sure I see it as a 90 minute film.

  4. Yeah this was a Twilight or outer limits. Except the couple recieved a letter every week saying when this person dies you will recive this much. So the first couple people die then the third name on the letter doesnt kick the bucket and the couple goes out and kills them. Cameron is overrated and undertalented.

  6. That must have been an Outer Limits episode. The one I saw took place solely within the couple’s apartment. The only characters were them and the guy who delivered the box. I miss anthology TV shows like The Twilight Zone, Amazing Stories, The Outer Limits.
