Fantastic Four Reboot Planned
According to IESB.net Twentieth Century Fox is looking to reboot the Fantastic Four.
Fox’s original Fantastic Four, starring Ioan Gruffudd (as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic), Jessica Alba (as Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman), Chris Evans (as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch), Michael Chiklis (as Ben Grimm/The Thing) and Julian McMahon (as Victor von Doom), was released in 2005 and earned $154 million domestically ($330 million internationally). A less-than-stellar sequel was released in 2007 earning $131 million domestically ($289 million internationally). Tim Story directed both films.
Now, Fox is looking to reboot the franchise to make it more along the lines of last year’s Iron Man and The Dark Knight. (ie. Successful).
The question now is whether fans will line up for a reboot, or whether too much damage was done the first time around.
