Kevin Smith Directing Couple of Cops
A couple of days late with this news, but here goes. Kevin Smith will direct A Couple of Cops for Warner Bros. The project will mark the first time Smith will direct from material he did not write.
The movie will star Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan as a couple of cops (as the title might suggest) who who track down a stolen baseball card, rescue a Mexican beauty and must deal with gangsters and laundered drug money. Robb and Marc Cullen wrote the screenplay.
The project was originally titled “A Couple of Dicks” but the “Dicks” was changed to “Cops” because people are stupid. I guess the fear is that, since people shied away from Smith’s “Porno” so they might do the same with his “Dicks”. Whatever.
