Logan Lerman is Percy Jackson

Logan Lerman is Percy JacksonLogan Lerman and Brandon T. Jackson have been cast in Percy Jackson to be directed by Chris Columbus for Fox 2000.

The adventure/fantasy casts Lerman as the title character, a schoolboy whose world is turned upside-down when he discovers that his father is actually the Greek god Poseidon. The story kicks off with Percy becoming the prime suspect when Zeus’ master lightning bolt is stolen. The boy has just 10 days to find and return the stolen property to bring peace to the warring gods. Jackson will play Percy’s best friend Grover.

The movie is based on “The Lighting Thief,” the first of five novels in Rick Riordan’s “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” series.

    AndiJo: These are my feelings……be ready for it!!!!! ok, first off I think Rick Riordan is an amazing author!!!!! it makes you really think that there is such a place as camp half blood and percy jackson. Next, I am way excited for the movie!!!!!!! I can’t wait till it comes out!! But, i really disagree with the characters. I think that Josh hutcherson should play percy, and that anna sophia Robb should play annabeth, except have her with brown hair!!!!! Then Grover should be the guy that plays ron on harry Potter, and JoJo should play Clarrise!!!!!!! I will be very disapointed if these aren’t the characters!!!! ESPECIALLY IF JOSH HUTCHERSON ISN”T PERCY!!!!! well thanks!!! bye!!!!

    15. Logan is NOT fit to be Percy!! Percy is supposed to be a 12 year old that’s in 6th grade, but Logan is 17. Logan is WAY too old to be playing Percy. Logan playing Percy is going to make the movie not as good as it would be if someone younger was playing Percy. Josh Hucherson would not make a better actor for Percy because he’s about the same age. William Miller would make a better actor. He’s a 12 year old actor who’s on a show called Runaway.

    40. I know everyone thinks that Josh Hutcherson would make a good Percy, but I personally think that he is too well known. Before the Harry Potter movies came out, did anyone really know who he was? Logan Lerman’s been in a couple of things, but I’ve never personally seen his work. Instead of worrying too much about physical attributes, I want to know how well he acts. After all, Chris Columbus worked with the HP movies as it was along with a lot of other things. Physically, he has very pretty eyes and dark hair for the part. If he were younger -looking-, then maybe people wouldn’t be griping as much. But he’s not. If he landed the role, then he knows/should know he has big shoes to fill. some of the reasons why a lot of the people hated Twilight was because Patison as Edward crushed their expectations. Stop being babies and narcissists–you may have a pretty face, but I’d rather have someone who could act the part than stand there and look pretty.

    He is older than Percy but I think that’s okay because boys seem to be getting smaller now I’m taller then most of the boys in my school even the older ones, so if he doesn’t look too old he’s fine to me.
