He’s Just Not That Into You Tops Box Office

Audiences were into He’s Just Not That Into You this weekend, as the movie opened with $27 million. The cast of the ensemble romantic comedy includes Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Connelly, Bradley Cooper, Kevin Connolly, Justin Long, Ginnifer Goodwin, Drew Barrymore, Scarlett Johansson and Ben Affleck.

Falling to 2nd place was Taken starring Liam Neeson which earned another $20.3 million bringing it’s 2-week total to $53.3 million.

Opening in 3rd place was the stop-motion animated Coraline which opened with $16.3 million. The movie, written and directed by Henry Selick, is based on the children’s book by Neil Gaiman.

In 4th place was The Pink Panther 2 starring Steve Martin which opened with $12 million. That’s well below the first installment starring Martin which opened in February 2006 with $20 million.

Rounding out the top 5 movies was Paul Blart: Mall Cop which added another $11 million. After 4 weekends in release, the movie has earned $97 million.

The weekend’s only other new release was Push starring Chris Evans and Dakota Fanning which opened in 6th place with $10.2 million.

Next weekend’s new releases include the remake of Friday the 13th, Confessions of a Shopaholic starring Isla Fisher and The International starring Clive Owen and Naomi Watts.
