Eddie Murphy/Riddler Rumour Won’t Die
Seems those Batman 3 rumours started by the U.K.-based tabloid, The Sun, might have more legs to them than movies fans would prefer. A couple of weeks ago, the tabloid published a story stating that Eddie Murphy and Shia LaBeouf would play The Riddler and Robin, respectively and the new movie would be called “Gotham”. The movie world was sent into a tizzy when the fanboys (and girls) got a hold of this one. Well, Sun reporter, Gordon Smart, has now stepped up to defend his claims, stating that he received the news from a very reliable industry source, close to the movie. The same person also provided a previous story to Smart in 2005 – that Daniel Craig would be the next James Bond.
I’m sure within the next few months the news on Batman 3 will be flying wildly through the internet. It’s not like people were too happy when they heard Heath Ledger would be the next Joker and look what he did with the role. Maybe Murphy wouldn’t be such a bad choice.
