Stephen Chow No Longer Directing Green Hornet
Stephen Chow has dropped out as director of The Green Hornet — however he will still star as Kato in the movie opposite Seth Rogen in the title role.
The “Green Hornet” character was originally created in the 1930s and appeared on TV in the 1960s version which featured Bruce Lee as Kato. Chow was announced in September to be directing and starring but has vacated the director’s chair over “creative differences”. Producers are now looking to fill the position in time for production to begin in the Spring. Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg wrote the script.
Chow previously directed and starred in Kung Fu Hustle and Shaolin Soccer.
