2008 Toronto Film Festival: Day 3

I took the early part of Saturday in Toronto getting a little work done before heading to a screening of The Burning Plain. The movie, written and directed by Guillermo Arriaga, stars Charlize Theron as a woman haunted by her past. There’s a lot more going on which I’ll get to when I get around to writing my review later this week.

I followed that screening by heading to interviews for The Secret Life of Bees. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, the interviews never happened. So, instead, I caught a screening of The Duchess starring Keira Knightley. It’s a decent movie but it doesn’t do much to separate itself from every other movie about royals in lust.

I concluded the day with a visit to Toronto’s W.Studio where we attended a party for Heckler starring Jamie Kennedy. Unfortunately, the only camera I had available was my iPhone, so I could only grab the photos below.

Tomorrow is Zack and Miri Make a Porno day as we’ll be checking out the movie in the morning and interviewing Kevin Smith later in the day. We’ll also be sitting down for interviews with the cast and director of The Duchess.
