Ewan McGregor Joins Amelia
Ewan McGregor has joined the cast of Amelia for Fox Searchlight.
The movie stars Hilary Swank as Amelia Earhart and will chronicle her rise to fame as well as her marriage to publisher George Putnam (Richard Gere) and her passionate affair with Gene Vidal (McGregor). Virginia Madsen also stars. Mira Nair is directing from a screenplay by Ronald Bass.
McGregor is currently filming I Love You, Philip Morris with Jim Carrey. He begins work this summer on Ron Howard’s Angels and Demons with Tom Hanks.
