Mann Directing Will Smith in Empire
Will Smith will star in Empire for Columbia Pictures. John Logan will write and Michael Mann will direct.
Although nobody is elaborating on plot details, according the Variety, Smith will play a contemporary global media mogul. The movie will reteam Mann and Smith who previously collaborated on Ali. Mann is serving as producer on Hancock (also starring and co-produced by Smith).
Smith returns to theaters in December in I Am Legend.
