Hanks Producting Agent Zigzag
Playtone partners Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman will produce an adaptation of the recently published Ben Macintyre book “Agent Zigzag: True Wartime Story of Love and Deception”. New Line won an auction for screen rights in a high-six figure deal.
Based on a true story, the book follows Edward Arnold Chapman, a career criminal who spied on the Germans for the British in WWII.
New Line won the bidding battle against sister studio Warner Bros.
