Silver Surfer Getting His Own Movie
Got a chance to see Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer tonight and although it is a very average superhero movie, the Silver Surfer was definitely the shit. Too bad he was seriously under-utilized. Anyways, it looks like Fox Studios will be giving the Surfer his own movie. J. Michael Straczynski, who has done work on The Twilight Zone and Babylon 5, is set to write the screenplay. Straczynski has also done a lot of comic book writing, including Amazing Spider-Man and Silver Surfer: Requiem. This could actually be pretty interesting, finding out who the Silver Surfer is and where he came from because we certainly don’t learn a whole lot in Fantastic Four 2.
