Sigourney Weaver Joining Baby Mama
Sigourney Weaver is in negotiations to join Tina Fey and Amy Pohler in Baby Mama for Universal Pictures.
The comedy, written and directed by Michael McCullers, centers on a single career woman (Fey) whose desire to have a child and keep her career leads her to hire a surrogate (Pohler). Weaver will play Chaffee Bicknell, owner and operator of the surrogate agency that Fey’s character uses. Shooting is scheduled to begin in May.
Weaver’s upcoming credits include Vantage Point and The Girl in the Park. She is also set to reteam with James Cameron for Avatar. She previously starred for Cameron in Aliens.
