Lawrence Kasdan Writing Titans Remake
Lawrence Kasdan will write the upcoming remake of Clash of the Titans for Warner Bros.
The 1981 cult classic revolved around Zeus’ son, Perseus (played by Harry Hamlin), and his journey to save Princess Andromeda during which he completed various tasks set out by Zeus, including capturing Pegasus and slaying Medusa. The original marked the final film on which Ray Harryhausen did special effects.
Titans will mark Kasdan’s first fantasy-style project since he wrote the screenplays for Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi in the early 1980s. He next serves as executive producer on In the Land of Women, written and directed by his son Jon Kasdan.
