Eastwood/Jolie Teaming for Changeling
Universal Pictures and Imagine Entertainment are fast-tracking The Changeling with Clint Eastwood looking to direct and Angelina Jolie in talks to star.
In the movie, Jolie would play a woman whose son is abducted but retrieved. However, she suspects that the returned child is not hers. She must then confront corruption in the LAPD. The story is based on true events in 1920s Los Angeles. J. Michael Straczynski wrote the script. Brian Grazer and Ron Howard will produce. Production will likely start later this year.
Jolie stars later this year in A Mighty Heart and in Beowulf for director Robert Zemeckis. She is also scheduled to star in an adaptation of the Ayn Rand classic Atlas Shrugged.
