Tom Cruise in Lions for Lambs
Despite the fact that he’s getting married this weekend, Tom Cruise still has time to make a movie deal or two…
In news that was rumored a couple of weeks ago, Cruise has been confirmed to star in Lions for Lambs with Robert Redford and Meryl Streep. Redford will also direct. Written by Matthew Carnahan, the drama consists of three interconnected storylines including Cruise as a congressman who interacts with a journalist (Streep), Redford as an idealistic professor who attempts to inspire a privileged student in his class and a third storyline about a pair of American soldiers wounded in enemy territory, one of whom is Redford’s former student. United Artists will finance the film with production set to begin early next year.
Cruise last starred in Mission: Impossible III. He’s also rumored to be circling an adaptation of the Dave King novel The Ha-Ha and the Spike Lee-directed Selling Time.
